You probably don’t regard yourself as the next Elon Musk or Beyoncé, a trendsetter who upsets the norm by blazing a new trail to follow. But the truth is that God has already placed you in a position of great influence. The question is not whether you are an example to your family, neighbors, and co-workers, but what kind of example. In this series, we explore the apostle Paul’s call to the young, inexperienced Timothy to “set an example” for an entire community by living and loving in a Christ-like way. How might our communities be different if we, too, own our influence as spiritual trendsetters?
Today's sermon was followed by a video from Sojourners - an organization of faith leaders who speak out against sexual and domestic violence. Our pastors and staff have found this message from our sisters in ministry helpful for expressing our own support for survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse. If you would like to connect with our pastoral staff, we may be reached via the staff directory.
