Summer Blast is coming! Registration begins May 8, 2022!
Summer Blast, a week long program for elementary aged kids, is BACK! After two years of virtual programming and cool supply boxes, Summer Blast is returning in-person from July 11-15th! Space is limited and registration is open from May 8-22. All children from rising Kinderarten to rising 6th graders are able to participate. We also are looking for rising 7th graders through adults to partner with the Summer Blast Team in serving during this epic week. There are many ways to serve from decor, set, snacks, host team, volunteer care, and the coveted Small Group Leader role! Have questions? Please reach out to the Summer Blast Directors - Sheila Freed-Pastor (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jill Swilling (email@example.com)
Helping Kids Grow in their Faith
Kidsrock is for toddlers through 5th graders, their parents/guardians, and their Small Group leaders. Our mission is to shepherd children in connecting to God personally, connecting to God’s people, and connecting to God’s purposes by teaching and modeling a Christ-centered life that is empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Capitalizing on kids’ natural sense of curiosity, awe, and wonder, we utilize the Orange curriculum to help kids during each phase of their growth learn about God, make wise choices, and develop a deeper trust in God through engaging Bible stories, fun activities and games, and talking prompts to delve deeper in faith conversations with their families, peers, and leaders. We are pleased to be able to offer both in-person and online programming at this time.
Please note, in-person groups are offered during the 9:00am service only, beginning September 12, 2021.
For those wishing to engage from home, each week we encourage families to watch the age-specific online experiences that include worship, skits, and Bible stories. An At-Home Guide is also provided that includes a game or activity as well as questions to ponder together as a family. You can find the videos on our Kidsrock Online YouTube channel or on our Highrock Online Kidsrock page, along with the At-Home Guides. (Please note, that last link takes you to Highrock Online, and you leave the Highrock Arlington site.)
Parents/Guardians are also encouraged to partner with us by following along with the weekly curriculum and continuing conversations throughout the week via the Parent Cue app. We also partner with parents/guardians through our Milestones program. At each of your child’s key transitions and spiritual milestones, we offer resources and/or instruction in raising a Jesus-loving generation. You can access these terrific resources on the Milestones page on Highrock Online.
For families with children experiencing disability, we encourage you to explore our church's AccessAbility Community Group, which is dedicated to including and supporting those experiencing disability and their families in the full life of the church. For more details, please visit the AccessAbility page on the Highrock Online website.
