Get together with others in the Highrock Network to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities as Christians in our professions. RSVP for the April 27th event today!
The High School Youth Group is for students in 9th-12th grades.
Our goal is to create environments that encourage students to grow in their faith in Christ, connect with others, make wise decisions that positively influence their relationships, and experience personal growth through serving.
We meet on Sundays during the school year from 5:00pm-7:15pm in the Highrock Commons (main church building basement).
Each January, we head to Lake Champion in NY for a weekend retreat hosted by Pilgrim Pines. It’s an amazing opportunity for students to deepen their relationships with God and one another through talks, worship, and a whole of host of fun activities such as zip lines, a climbing wall, giant inflatables, and more
On July 14-2, 2019, a team of High School students will serve in the Dominican Republic, partnering with local ministries by caring for those in need. The team will serve lunches for the homeless, maintain the Montessori school for children with special needs, and spending time with girls who have come out of human trafficking.
Would you help cover our travel costs to the Dominican Republic? Our team will be offering to help out with odd jobs on Work Days in April, May, and June and selling t-shirts in May. You can also donate directly to our team using the button below.
Each February we begin a 13-week class called Finding Ourselves in His Story that highlights the major themes of church history, theology, and spiritual formation in preparation for confirmation or baptism. While this class is designed for 9th graders, other high schoolers are welcome to attend! This class begins February 17th, 2019, and meets from 10:45am-12:00pm in the AutoParts Classroom (next to The Mill on 14 Mill St). The class concludes with a confirmation/baptism service on May 19th.
For high school students in 10th - 12th grade, we offer a four-week class called The Partnership that starts each October. This class walks students through the membership process at Highrock and begins them on the journey of partnering fully as adults at Highrock.
In addition to these classes, many of our teens serve during Sunday worship in various areas of the church like our children’s, worship, welcoming, and hospitality ministries.
